Anxiety and Thyroid Hormone

Anxiety can cause hormone imbalance, but can also be a symptom of hormone imbalance.  The thyroid gland is small, but can cause a large amount of disturbance if dysfunctional. Dr. Krysten has experience managing hyper- and hypothyroid states. She has worked with autoimmune-linked Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Graves disease, both of which require additional investigation. She uses thyroid-specific nutritional supplementation to encourage hormone balance and support thyroid medications.

Anxiety, Estrogen and Progesterone

Every woman experiences menopause differently. Many experience hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia and anxiety. Dr. Krysten has found a number of tools to help manage symptoms of anxiety, and support the body through the hormone transition. These can include herbal and nutritional supports, acupuncture treatments or simply diet and lifestyle changes.
